Job description
AquSag Technologies is seeking a Python/FastAPI Development Lead to join an exciting Reinforcement Learning (RL) Gym project. This is a leadership role where you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend APIs while collaborating closely with ML engineers to support cutting-edge RL experiments and simulations.
Job responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of FastAPI-based backend services for RL experimentation workflows.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking.
• Write efficient, production-grade Python code with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth deployment of applications.
• Mentor and manage a team of developers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
Required qualifications
• 8+ years of professional Python development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with FastAPI in scalable backend systems.
• 4+ years of experience leading development teams (5+ members).
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design, asynchronous programming, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in NumPy, Pandas; familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus.
• Experience with SQL and/or RL environments (OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, Stable Baselines) is desirable.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
